Update as of July 22, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. CST

We want to provide an update on an exposure to COVID-19 within our Village on the Green community. We learned Wednesday, July 22, that two of our Health Center residents tested positive for the virus. By way of recap, we have seven total active resident cases of COVID-19, three residents are being cared for in the hospital and four are being cared for in our community.

We also learned that two of our team members tested positive for the virus. We have a total of five active cases of COVID-19 among team members and individuals who provide care and service to our residents. These individuals are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.

We understand that you have concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community, and many of you have questions. Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.

As a reminder, Lifespace and Village on the Green are continuing to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage everyone to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing, and please remember to wear a mask or face covering when you are leaving our community to interact with others in public settings. Proper hand hygiene including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer are essential to preventing the spread of infection. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.

We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Village on the Green management team.

Thank you for your continued support.
