Coronavirus Update - 7.31.20
Issued July 31, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. CST
We wanted to provide an update on COVID-19 within our Village on the Green community. We learned late Thursday, July 30th, that three Health Center residents tested positive for the virus. Currently, there are 17 total active resident cases of the virus, six residents are being cared for in the hospital and 11 are being cared for in a special COVID-19 isolation area within our community.
By way of recap, we have 17 total active cases of COVID-19 among team members and individuals who provide care and service to our residents. These individuals are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.
We understand that you have concerns and may have questions about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community. Please know we continue with our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members and our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.
Lifespace and Village on the Green continue to follow heightened infection control guidelines and we highly encourage residents to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments. Residents and team members are encouraged to practice social distancing and wear a mask or face covering when you interact with others in public settings. Proper hand hygiene including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer are essential to preventing the spread of the virus. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will provide regular updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.
We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Village on the Green management team.
Thank you.
